After-school schedules tend to work really well for many of our current SmartSitters who leave their mornings open for audition or school. Many of our after-school babysitters make between $400-$600/week. If you're experienced in childcare, tutoring, camp counseling, teaching, or other related fields, we can help you find a great after-school position. We can also help with occasional evening and weekend positions, part-time and full-time nanny jobs! We've been around for 7 years now and we work with hundreds of families in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. We stay connected with both sides, always striving for the best possible fit all around. We have helped many of our babysitters and nannies find multiple jobs over many years and have helped support them through the great challenge of being an artist, actor or student and also earning a stable income. Plus, we love to socialize and hold meet-ups, host CPR classes, hold workshops, help with sublets/roommate searches, support each other in creative pursuits, and more. Our entire network is fully screened, personally interviewed, and background/reference checked. We look for at least two childcare or childcare-related references and a clean background check. We ask that all our babysitters and nannies are fully comfortable with homework help, reading assistance, educational games, going to and from activities, snack preparation, basic meal preparation, general tidying after the kids, kids' laundry, and loading/unloading the dishwasher. Babysitters and nannies in our network are paid directly by families and we never take a cut of your pay. You set your own rate between $20-$25/hour!
